This year I looked at all the presents we had under our tree to wrap before Christmas and sighed deeply. I always want my presents to be cute and original in their wrapping, but who has the time or money to go get all the adorable tags and beautiful paper from expensive craft stores?
Then I saw the huge pile of paper grocery bags that we keep “hidden” away in our cupboard for our future selves to deal with. They sit right next to the reusable bags we always say we’ll remember. Anyway.
Then I thought: “Brown paper packages tied up with string…”
Well, I didn’t have string. But I had pretty Sharpies!
I got the Sharpies at Michael’s. I love the metallic ones, I’m seriously addicted. Watch our whole house become covered in curly silver and gold shapes pretty soon.
And who doesn’t have tons of these.
We even had a couple of Holiday-themed Trader Joe’s ones that hardly needed any extra decorating!
It’s great to wrap all of those gifts, knowing that you aren’t wasting any extra paper. Reuse & recycle!
I had fun wrapping Anthony’s presents. What do you think? I may have gone a little overboard, but it was too fun. Someone get me coloring books for Christmas.
Hopefully this is an easy way for you to personalize your gifts if you’re running short on time and resources!
